Who does XL Africa target?

We are not looking for single founders but quality teams that have the expertise and experience needed to implement successfully in these markets. Traction is key, and where the teams should be gearing up for expansion and Series A level funding ($250K - $1,5mln)

Introductions to vetted, proven investors with no brokerage fees or equity taken by XL Africa
During XL Africa, we will connect you with angel investors and venture capital firms to help you raise growth capital. How much? We estimate that XL companies will be looking for up to approximately $1.5M. Of course, significantly smaller, and somewhat larger, amounts are also acceptable.
Advice
Mentoring from experienced international and in-country entrepreneurs, investors and experts
You will have access to a wide roster of mentors and advisors with extensive local and international experience as entrepreneurs or investors. Based on your needs, you will have access to domain and business expertise, and each XL company will be paired with two lead mentors, one local and one global, to provide complete guidance throughout the program.

Residency
A two-week Cape Town based immersion in the African ecosystem and investor communities

The event concludes with an exclusive, invite-only Venture Showcase Day, where you'll pitch to and receive valuable feedback from investors.
